Canine Semen Evaluation
Canine Semen Evaluation
Semen analysis is a complex test that should ideally be performed by experienced technicians with quality control and validation of their testing systems. A routine semen analysis should include: physical characteristics of semen (colour, odour, pH, viscosity and liquefaction), volume, concentration, morphology and sperm motility and progression. To provide a correct result it is necessary to perform at least two, preferably three, separate seminal analyses with an interval between them of 7 days to 3 months.
